I watched the most recent Bill Cunningham documentary on Amazon Prime last week. The New York Sunday Style section isn’t the same without him. I miss his point of view and commentary on what people were wearing not just on the runway, but on the streets. Bill Cunningham captured and celebrated beauty wherever he saw it.
In the words of Mr. Cunningham “Fashion is not frivolous it makes people feel good to get dressed to go out in the morning. It lifts the spirit, it’s self-esteem. There will always be fashion as long as there are human beings because people want to feel good about themselves. The streets reflect the political world and the social upheaval of our times."
