KING RICHARD
We watched #KingRichard on @hbomax over the weekend and it was definitely a feel good movie. It follows the life of Richard Williams, played by Will Smith, father of tennis icons Venus & Serena Williams and his never ending commitment to his daughters. With limited resources but endless determination he helps shape two of the greatest tennis players in history.
We’ve been lucky enough to watch both Williams’s sisters play tennis and it’s awe inspiring. I can’t imagine being THAT good at anything! My favorite tennis moment is when #serenawilliams played at #Wimbledon in 2018, just 10 months after having a baby (she almost died in childbirth) and gave a speech after her defeat, “But for all the moms out there, I was playing for you today, and I tried so hard.”
