NYC FALL WEEKEND

The weekend before Thanksgiving we took a quick trip to NYC and it was the most glorious jammed packed weekend. We used to go out quite a bit for my husband’s work, but he hasn’t been out since COVID. We were thrilled to be reunited with one of our favorite cities soaking it all in.

We stayed at the Beekman Hotel it’s downtown, near Tribeca which is our favorite area to stay in. It’s central to what we like to do (eat + shop) and close to Donnie’s office.

My motto on vacation is never miss a meal. I’m serious about dinner reservations and made sure we had something booked every night. We love the Italian restaurant Morandi, order the Lemon Pasta you’ll thank me later.

Ramen and Pork Buns at Momofuku. They have another location in Columbus Circle which was perfect after the Opera at Lincoln Center .

For Brunch my go to is Maman, they have a few locations in the city but we always go to the one in Tribeca.

Also had brunch at The Dutch. Our favorite was the Cornmeal Blueberry Pancakes.

Can’t come to New York without doing a little shopping. My favorite store is John Derian, they had all their Christmas decor and I went a little crazy!

Went to the Opera at Lincoln Center and saw La Boheme.

Saw Jeff Daniels in To Kill a Mockingbird. It was so moving and I couldn’t help but cry. A phenomenal cast! Ed Harris will reprise the role of Atticus Finch beginning next year.

Didn’t feel so bad about all the food we ate because we walked 10 miles a day. Took a long around Central Park before our flight home, a perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
